Going in with confidence and optimism for their homecoming game against Libertyville High School on Oct. 16, the Varsity Wildcat boys soccer team fell short of a win and lost 1-2 after having a hard time keeping control of the ball.
Throughout the season, the boys varsity soccer team agrees that there’s still room for improvement.
“When we play good teams, we improve,” Bryan Rodriguez, senior and captain, said.
With a record of 6-13-1, the team said that their coaches have put in an effort to help them improve, although the team is still growing.
Because the Wildcat soccer team is made up of members as young as freshmen, the team feels they are inexperienced but can get better.
“We needed more time to get to know each other,” Irving Eloisa, freshman, said.
Now that the season is over, various team members, agree that the best part of the season was winning the Bartlett Tournament.
