Honors physics classes have the opportunity to use a new online software program that follows the goal of WHS’ STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) policy starting this year: iLab.

According to Dan Weidner, physics teacher, iLab allows students to see high tech labs on the web, which go through the whole procedure.

Students from all over the world can access the expensive lab experiments through the iLab software.

“It’s a cool experience. It’s really dealing with the science classroom of tomorrow,” Mr. Weidner said.

“It’s going to change how science classes are taught,” he added.

WHS honors physics classes started using iLab with an experiment that was performed in Australia.

“We did a lab on how atoms were affected as distance increased or decreased. Through iLab, we picked a distance and we tested it. It does it for you; you see it as a video, but just in Australia,” Sanela Jusufi, junior, said.
