Due to inclement weather, all District 214 schools will close early today. With the exception of Rolling Meadows High School, all buildings will close at 1:15 p.m. Rolling Meadows closed at 12:30 p.m., since it shares buses with Elk Grove High School. All after-school and evening activities, events, and programs are cancelled as well.

“I kind of anticipated it happening because I heard from a friend that the elementary schools had been let out due to snow, so I wasnt shocked, but I was still very excited,” Keith Cichowicz, senior, said.

“I was really happy,” Mauli Patel, senior, said. “I mean its no school who wouldn’t be, but it was decision on the schools part because the roads can get really dangerous when covered with snow especially for young drivers so this way all of the kids can get home before there is a lot of traffic on the road.”

“Meh, not surprising,” Alex Galvez, sophomore, said. “It was just a nice thing to hear that i get to go home early.”

“It was nice to get some time off of school and I’m glad they did it so that we could all leave school safely,” Asher Crawley, senior, said.

“Sheer joy, I’m so happy,” Mikey Anderson, junior, said.

“I’m really happy. It was a good choice because it takes forever to get home and the roads are horrible and only getting worse,” Samantha Rude, senior, said.
