Varsity girls badminton played Prospect High School on April 11, the game started at 4:30 pm and was at home. In the end, Prospect High School won with a score of 14-1. That one win, belongs to Sam Broms, junior; she earned that point by winning a singles game.
Although most players lost, three players split their games.
“I felt a little nervous but I was excited to play,” Kristen Lee, junior, explained. “My partner and I worked well together, although we did make a few mistakes.”
Some doubt was present in the team players, but they still felt optimistic.
“I have my doubts, but I want to see how well we hold up against them (Prospect),” Aline Bardak, senior, said.
Sportsmanship was shown throughout the duration of all the matches, ‘Good shot’ and high fiving once the match finished was seen amongst opponents.
