Megan’s Music Mondays: “Last Dance” by The Raveonettes

The Raveonettes are a band I have followed for a long time, always loving this song and “Suicide.” This songs upbeat attitude puts me in a good mood while it always talks about serious subjects. The song itself is really soothing and yet it speaks of someone dying and wanting to spend the last time with them. This song has the ability to make you want to dance and cry¬†simultaneously. Plus, don’t deny it, the “woahowoah” parts can be very catchy.

“Your lipstick
Smeared beside
I adore you
I always have
And everytime you overdose
I rush to intensive care
Another sad eyed stare
Before you disappear

If this is the last dance, this is the last dance
Then, save it me baby
If this is the last dance, this is the last dance
Then, save it me baby

Ooh, ooh
Then save it for me baby
Ooh, ooh
Then, save it me baby

Your addiction
And you are in love
Not starcrossed
I wait my turn
And everytime you overdoes
I rush to Intensive Care
Another sad eyed stare
Before you disappear,”
