Wildcats “saddle up” for MSL Conference Championship

On Thursday night , Wheeling will return to the MSL Conference championship for the first time in 18 years to face Barrington. The Wildcats will look to earn a key road victory to claim their first Conference title since 1977. The last time the Wildcats and Broncos faced off was on September 17, in which neither team was able to score resulting in a 0-0 tie. Wildcats clinch MSL East and conference birth en route to defeating former conference champs

The Wildcats would have a chance to advance to the MSL Conference final, and the only team standing in their way would be the former champions, Palatine. Palatine would look to play spoiler on a big Wildcat night, however the Wildcats look to prove too much for the Pirates. JV Scholastic Bowl takes second place

by Chris Nush, Asst. A&E Editor The WHS JV Scholastic Bowl made it to the MSL Championships and took home second place Feb. 21. The championship consisted of two conferences where the winners of the first and second conferences went against each other. “It’s pretty gratuitous,” Brian Dordon, freshman, said.  “It was a lot of work but our teamwork has been really good.” The JV Team, made up of freshmen and sophomores, faced Fremd High School from District 211. Varsity girls swimmers make personal bests at MSL meet

by Rosalie Chan, Web Editor Varsity girls swimming placed 11th out of 12th at the Mid-Suburban League Swimming Meet on Oct. 27 at Barrington High School. Some highlights of the meet included the personal best times for Theresa Godlewski, sophomore, and Adrienne Rozmus, freshman. Godlewski broke the school record for the 100 yard backstroke once again, with a time of 1:00:46. She also made a personal best in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 54:81. “I felt pretty good because it was more than a whole second off my previous record,” Godlewski said. “When you look at the…
