Loquercio balances multiple sports along with school work

Justin Loquercio, freshman, has been trying his best at both. “My favorite part of sports is being with your team or improving your time from before,” Loquercio said. Godlewski advances to State, places 25th in backstroke

Theresa Godlewski, sophomore, advanced to State, which took place Nov. 16, competing in the 100-yard backstroke and 100-yard freestyle. Once again, she broke the school record for the 100 backstroke, with a time of 58.43 seconds. At State, she placed 25th for the backstroke. In the 100 freestyle, she placed 41st, with a time of 53.68 seconds.

Varsity girls swimmers make personal bests at MSL meet

by Rosalie Chan, Web Editor Varsity girls swimming placed 11th out of 12th at the Mid-Suburban League Swimming Meet on Oct. 27 at Barrington High School. Some highlights of the meet included the personal best times for Theresa Godlewski, sophomore, and Adrienne Rozmus, freshman. Godlewski broke the school record for the 100 yard backstroke once again, with a time of 1:00:46. Godlewski breaks school’s backstroke record

by Jess Musto, Sports Editor Last year, Theresa Godlewski, sophomore, broke the 100 yard backstroke record at Sectionals with a time of 1:01.5, which was considered a “great achievement” for the then freshman. The now sophomore started the season off by breaking her record at the first home meet by 0.02  seconds with a time of 1:01.48. “When I was swimming it, I wasn’t thinking about the record, but when I finished and saw what I did it made me feel good that I did it so early in the season,” Godlewski said.
