Wildcats punch their ticket to State after taking down Conference Rival

Wheeling would attempt to enter the final four for the first time in school history, barrington remained hopeful on continuing their dominance. Familiar face returns to Wheeling Soccer

Along with Ed Uhrik and Kevin Lennon, coaches, Leo Elizalde, assistant coach, has joined the staff. Elizalde returns to Wheeling after spending four years at Dominican University. During his time with the Wildcats, Elizalde was named to two conference teams and a player of the year award. Playing for both coach Uhrik and Lennon in high school helped his success at Wheeling. Wheeling soccer looks to continue historic season with another title

Regional Champs look to ride momentum into sectionals

by Alex Gleyzer, staff reporter The Wildcats capped off their Regional playoffs by beating Maine East on Friday night 3-0. The Wildcats ended the week going 2-0 scoring nine goals and allowing zero. Jose Garcia, senior, led the pack by scoring four of the Cats goals this week, followed by Elias Cisneros, sophomore,  and Luis Herrera, senior both scoring two goals and Francisco Arellano, junior, adding one as well. Wheeling buckles down to defeat Broncos and take home Conference Crown

On Thursday night , Wheeling will return to the MSL Conference championship for the first time in 18 years to face Barrington. The Wildcats will look to earn a key road victory to claim their first Conference title since 1977. The last time the Wildcats and Broncos faced off was on September 17, in which neither team was able to score resulting in a 0-0 tie. The Wildcats would have a chance to advance to the MSL Conference final, and the only team standing in their way would be the former champions, Palatine. Cats claw their way to another victory

The Cats began the game with nearly twenty consecutive minutes of offensive pressure on the Libertyville defense.
