Madrigal Dinner is a big success with four nights of the dinner sold out. The group seems to be very popular in the community. Tonight they will be performing their second concert at 7 p.m.

This year the Madrigal Dinner will again be at the Chevy Chase Country Club on Milwaukee Road. Each night 352 perople will be served.

“The profits made from the Madrigal Dinner will be put toward the group’s trip to London,” commented Mr. Frank Dobler, Madrigal director.

Preparations for the dinner have been going on since last year. One preparation was replacing the graduated Madrigals and choosing new students to fill their places. Court jesters and the beggar woman also had to be chose.

The new Madrigals practiced for three weeks in July and have been hard at work since then. They rehearse in class, after school, and on the weekends.

Along with the Madrigal singers there are also a lot of other people involved with the dinner, including trumpeters, waitresses, pages, and students handling the coat check All together there are about 95 people involved, according to Mr. Dobler.
